*A Note on Love

Love is not stupid. Love is not weak.

Yes, love is often gentle and kind. One would hope so… And love usually creates.

However, if someone is genuinely coming from LOVE and is greeted with lies, manipulation, deciet or destruction, also known as EVIL - you will soon find out how it felt when “Jesus flipped the tables over” in the temple.

Love will burn it all down too. Walk out the door. Tell you the hard truth. Scream. And then…rebuild again. Quietly and safely, away from harm’s way.

So when you see a momma bear, wolf or lioness protect her young, remember - THAT is LOVE too…and act accordingly.

“I have always been in the business of love. Love for the truth. Love for the overlooked. Love for the animals who cannot speak for themselves. Love for the children who deserve a world worth inheriting. Love for an America that still has so much unfinished promise. Everything I have built - every company, every film, every book, every course, every treat baked for a dog - has been an act of that love. I built all of it alone. With faith and GRACE. And a pack of very precious and important dogs.” - J.A.

Jennifer began her career as an activist and concerned global citizen in the second grade when she explained to her teacher that she would not be saying the pledge of allegiance because she found nationalism dangerous.  Jennifer would always be moved by the idea of division verse unity in society and would explore this discontent in her many artistic projects.  The irony that she is now trying to celebrate that very nationalistic spirit in her most recent project, Traitor, is not lost on her.

Studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, The Experimental Theater Wing and Circle in the Square on a full acting scholarship.  Lead singer of several alternative rock bands and music projects.  Paints in oil, acrylic and collage.   Created her first production company for film, television, theatre, mixed media and music, Risk Productions in 1997, focusing on ‘projects that make a difference’.  Wrote, directed and produced Yes! Damn it. to several sold out audiences at The Producer’s Club in NYC.  Also co-produced the live action segment of Blue’s Clues for Nickelodeon, among many other film and T.V. projects. Jen continues to teach theater, film, writing, public speaking, fine art, and American history. She also writes screenplays, fiction and non-fiction books and poetry.

MUSIC - one of the most direct, and powerful, paths to truth. Please “How to Be Mark Ronson” for more…

Risk Productions was my film, theater, music and television production company. We had many multi media events in NYC, performance art, full productions and fine art. Mostly, it was an excuse to gather other artists together to try and make a dent in this weary sad world. - Jen
